Several famous musicians have been accused of misusing Covid relief funds.

According to reporting by Business Insider, a group of prominent artists took large sums of money from a pandemic relief fund called the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant that was supposed to help the arts industry.

Managed by the Small Business Administration, it was meant to keep “struggling independent venues and arts groups” afloat. Reporting suggests that the likes of Chris Brown, Marshmello, Lil Wayne and more took advantage of the grant, which offered a maximum of $10 million.

Miley Cyrus is calling on a ton of her superstar friends to help her celebrate the New Year with her Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party for 2023!

The upcoming NBC special features a ton of superstars joining the 30-year-old “See You Again” superstar in ringing in the New Year, as she promises “new year, new Miley” in billboards popping up around the world.

Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party will air live on NBC on Saturday, December 31 from 10:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. ET and will also be livestreamed on Peacock.

Rae Sremmurd‘s younger half-brother Michael Sullivan is in custody as a person of interest following the fatal shooting of their stepfather Floyd Sullivan, 62.

The stepdad of the hip-hop duo – brothers Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee – helped raise them since they were young, TMZ reports.

Floyd died after the shooting on Monday night (January 6) in Mississippi.

Tupelo PD reports that police officers were dispatched to a home, where they discovered a man who had died on the scene from at least a couple of gunshot wounds.

Police are holding Michael, 19, for psychiatric evaluation. They say no one else is being sought after in connection with the shooting.

Floyd also has a son, Floyd Jr., from a previous relationship.

Khalid hits the stage with his friend SZA for a special performance during his El Paso Benefit Concert on Sunday (September 1) in El Paso, Tex.

The 21-year-old singer hosted “A Night for Suncity” at the Don Haskins Center with proceeds from the concert supporting the El Paso Shooting Victims’ Fund and the El Paso Community Foundation.

“I have been rocked to the core by the horrific act of gun violence that came to El Paso, and by the continued acts of senseless violence that our country faces daily,” Khalid previously said in a statement. “I want to give back to my community of El Paso, the city of the 915, who has given so much to me. Please come out and let’s heal together through music while raising money to help those who need it.”

Also joining the show were Rae Sremmurd and Lil Yachty. There were even special appearances by Matthew McConaughey and presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke.

Donations for the cause can be made at thegreatkhalidfoundation.org.
