Tyler Perry’s Sistas is coming back with it’s milestone 10th season this week!

The BET drama debuts it’s new season on Wednesday (January 7), picking up “with the gut-wrenching aftermath of a car bomb, and the fallout is far from over. This season, silence is louder than words, loyalties are tested, and as each woman wrestles with the past, not everyone will make it to the other side the same.”

“The longevity of Sistas is a testament to the incredible audience who has so deeply connected to the show. I know they will be invested in every plot line, every character, and a lot is going to happen this season. As always, we’ve got some big surprises, twists, and turns. It will not disappoint!” executive producer Tyler Perry shared in a statement.

BET has officially picked up the drama series for a tenth season, Deadline reveals.

This exciting news just hours ahead of the season nine finale, which will premiere TONIGHT (December 17) at 9pm ET/PT on BET.

Tyler Perry’s Sistas is back!

The hit TV show returns for its ninth explosive season on Wednesday (July 16) at 9 p.m. ET on BET.

Season 9 of Sistas “pushes the ladies further to the edge than ever before in their friendships and personal lives. Hardships and huge changes will rattle them, but will it destroy the sister’s circle? These ladies were built to handle the tough things in life, and they’ll really need to lean on one another to make it through this season.”

Here’s a logline for the Season 9 premiere episode, called “No Time to Wait”: “The Sistas must put their current individual problems and traumas aside when they learn something is wrong with Karen’s pregnancy. It’s a mad dash to the hospital in a city recovering from a blackout.”

The stars are stepping out for ESSENCE‘s big event!

Keke Palmer, Taraji P. Henson, Cynthia Erivo, and Teyana Taylor were among the many stars at the 2025 ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards on Thursday afternoon (February 27) at Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles.

The annual event, which had the “Scene and Unseen” theme this year, honored Cynthia, Teyana, Marla Gibbs, and Raamla Mohamed. The event is “spotlighting the stories, performances, and contributions that often go overlooked, even as they shape the fabric of the entertainment industry.”

Sistas is officially coming back!

The hit Tyler Perry series for BET is set to return for Season 8 on Wednesday, October 16 at 9 p.m. ET on BET and BET Her.

In the series, a group of single Black females navigating love in their 30s, self-discovery, careers, and friendships through the ups and downs of living in a modern world of social media and unrealistic relationship goals.

In the premiere episode of the eighth season, called “Dead Man Walking,” Andi, along with the rest of her close-knit sister circle and even a few enemies, all have some explaining to do amid the fallout of Gary’s brutal stabbing.
