The pair were both in attendance at the 2025 Royal Variety Performance at the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday evening (November 19) in London, England.
“Mum to mum, who has just recently gone through cancer, I just wanted to give her a hug,” Jessie J said of the moment (via The Independent.) “We acknowledged that it’s something that is not easy to go through, especially in the public eye.”
The Princess announced she had been battling cancer for much of 2024, while Jessie J revealed her breast cancer diagnosis in 2025.
Jessie returned to the stage a few weeks ago after undergoing surgery.

Jessie J hit the stage for her first performance after having surgery at Radio 2 In the Park on Saturday (September 6) in Chelmsford, England.
The 37-year-old singer marked her first time back on stage performing, eleven weeks after undergoing surgery for breast cancer, which she revealed an early diagnosis in early June.
Jessie wore a shiny white outfit and even brought her son Sky, 2, on stage with her. In fact, it was his first time watching her perform on stage!
During her set, Jessie shared a message about her diagnosis and living her best life.
