Kodi Smit-McPhee and Emma Corrin will be adding some extra star power to an upcoming London stage production of the classic play The Seagull, starring Cate Blanchett.
Cate will be playing the role of Irina Arkadina with Kodi as her son Konstantin and Emma as Nina.
“Konstantin’s in love with Nina. However, the ambitious ingenue sees Trigorin, Arkadina’s lover, as a more useful stepping stone,” Deadline reports.
Furiosa star Tom Burke will play Trigorin.
Preview performances begin on February 26 ahead of an official opening night on March 6. The limited engagement will end on April 5 after a quick six-week run.
Cate and Kodi can be seen in the new Apple TV+ drama series Disclaimer, in which they also play mother and son. The show begins streaming on October 11.

The official trailer for the upcoming new Apple TV+ series Disclaimer has just dropped!
Starring Cate Blanchett, Kevin Kline and Sacha Baron Cohen, the psychological thriller series is told in seven parts and is based on the novel of the same name by Renée Knight.
Alfonso Cuarón serves as writer and director on all seven parts, as well as executive producer. Cate is also an EP.

The cast of the Apple TV+ series Disclaimer walked the red carpet together for a second time at the 2024 Venice Film Festival.
Cate Blanchett was joined by the star-studded cast for the premiere of episodes 5-7 on Friday (August 30) in Venice, Italy.
Joining Cate on the carpet were HoYeon Jung (best known for her work on Squid Game), Sacha Baron Cohen, Kevin Kline, Louis Partridge, Leila George, and Kodi Smit-McPhee, as well as writer and director Alfonso Cuaron.

In Disclaimer, acclaimed journalist Catherine Ravenscroft (Blanchett) built her reputation revealing the misdeeds and transgressions of others. The 48-year-old Oscar-winning actress was seen in character as the late opera singer Maria Callas on Wednesday (October 11) in Paris, France.
Angelina was joined by co-star Kodi Smit-McPhee while filming a scene at the Palais-Royal. Later in the day, she wore another costume while shooting a difference scene.
It was announced back in October 2022 that Angelina would be starring in director Pablo Larrain‘s new biopic, which is said to trace the opera singer’s life through her death in 1977.
“I take very seriously the responsibility to Maria’s life and legacy. I will give all I can to meet the challenge,” Angelina said about the opportunity. “Pablo Larraín is a director I have long admired. To be allowed the chance to tell more of Maria’s story with him, and with a script by Steven Knight, is a dream.”
