The Marshals and 1923 stars hit the carpet at the event, which also celebrated the first of UFC‘s matches streaming on Paramount+ at T-Mobile Arena on Saturday (January 24) in Las Vegas.

UFC’s debut on the streamer drew in 4.96 million live average minute audience/streaming views for the main card, with a peak concurrent stream of 5.93 million.

Heated Rivalry fans were not thrilled with the way Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams were introduced to the stage at the 2026 Golden Globes, but the producers of the show are defending the bit.

To promote Paramount’s partnership with the UFC, CBS used the actors’ rise to fame to joke that they needed extra security because of their popularity.

The announcer said, “Our next presenters are so hot right now, they get mobbed everywhere they go, so we had to bring in some extra security from the UFC.” The fighters then walked on stage and circled around without saying anything before Hudson and Connor made their entrances.

Fans called the moment awkward and cringeworthy.

“I’ll say this. We were creating this party atmosphere. We were trying to not just present everything as traditional award shows would present them, maybe taking a few attention-grabbing moments and all, and UFC is obviously entering a new thing with CBS and Paramount+, so they’re all partners,” Weiss told Deadline. “So we basically decided to take two elements that are kind of hot right now, the Heated Rivalry, it’s insane what kind of attention it’s getting right now, to juxtapose it with that and create this moment together, we thought it was a fun little moment.”

“I think we’re getting more questions about it than anything else. So it got attention, right?” he added.

They also said the Connor and Hudson were involved in the writing of their sketch.

Kishner said, “A lot of times you write stuff for presenters and they are like, yeah, no, maybe, they add to it. So we worked with them a little bit on a couple of different ideas, and the one they signed off on was that. And then when they showed up for the rehearsal, they really committed to the bet. So it actually worked great.”

On Thursday (July 3), President Donald Trump announced that he plans to hold a UFC fight at the White House. The details of his plan are unclear but a UFC official stated that they’ve been in talks with Trump about the event.

Conor responded to the possibility in a post on X, writing, “Excited with President Trump announcing a UFC fight event at the White House. I would be honoured! Count me in!”

In another post on the platform, Conor referenced his plans to run for election in Ireland and seemingly confirmed that the fight will take place in 2026.

Conor writes in the post, “July 4th next year is a Saturday, regarding President Trump‘s UFC White House event. I will be reigning President of Ireland just under 1 year when I step out on the lawns of the White House to throw down. Epic proportions! Or as I like to call it, Tuesday at the office.”

He also shared an AI-generated image of himself and Michael Chandler at the White House gearing up for a fight.

“All of our national park battlefields and historic sites are going to have special events in honor of America 250 and I even think we’re going to have a UFC fight,” Trump said at te event, via THR. “Does anybody watch UFC? The great Dana White? We’re going to have a UFC fight, think of this, on the grounds of the White House. We have a lot of land there.”

“We have a lot of land there, we’re going to build a little — we’re not, Dana is going to do it. Dana is great, one of a kind — going to be UFC fight, championship fight, full fight, like 20,000 to 25,000 people, and we’re going to do that as part of ‘250’,” he added, per New York Post.

“We’re going to have some incredible events, some professional events, some amateur events. But the UFC fight is going to be a big deal, too,” the President noted.

He also said “every one of our national parks, battlefields and historic sites” will host “special events in honor of ‘America250.’”

Trump has been a fan of UFC, attending multiple events over the years, most recently just last month in Newark, New Jersey.

Dana White, the CEO of UFC, also supported Trump on his campaign trail last year.

Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt are honoring the real-life inspiration of their upcoming movie.

Dwayne, 53, and Emily, 42, were in Las Vegas for the UFC Hall of Fame Induction of Mark Kerr on Thursday (June 26).

Dwayne plays Mark in their upcoming biopic about his life, The Smashing Machine, while Emily plays his first wife, Dawn Staples-Kerr.

At the event, Dwayne presented the real-life inspiration for his upcoming film with a trophy to commemorate his induction into the Pioneer Era Wing of the Hall of Fame.

Prior to his retirement, Mark was a two-time UFC Heavyweight Tournament Champion among a variety of other achievements in the world of mixed martial arts. The Smashing Machine is being produced by A24 and will detail Mark‘s life and MMA career with Benny Safdie directing the movie.

Jon Jones is retiring.

The 37-year-old fighter, considered among the greatest mixed martial arts fighters of all time, confirmed his retirement to Dana White in a phone call, the UFC chief executive said in a press conference Sunday (June 22).

“Jon Jones called us last night and retired. Jon Jones has officially retired,” he told reporters, responding to questions about the UFC heavyweight division amid waiting for Jon Jones decision to face Tom Aspinall in a unification fight.

“Tom Aspinall is the heavyweight champion of the UFC,” he added.

Stephan Bonnar, a finalist on the first season of The Ultimate Fighter and UFC Hall of Famer, has passed away at 45.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) announced his passing on Christmas Eve and cited “presumed heart complications” as the cause of death.

“Stephan Bonnar was one of the most important fighters to ever compete in the Octagon,” stated UFC President Dana White. “His fight with Forrest Griffin changed the sport forever, and he will never be forgotten. The fans loved him, related to him and he always gave them his best. He will be missed.”

Stephan and Forrest were officially inducted into the Hall of Fame on July 6, 2013. Their fight on The Ultimate Fighter finale is widely regarded as one of the greatest MMA fights of all time and helped propel the sport to a wider audience.

Elias was known for being an advocate for the use of medicinal marijuana in combat sports. “I want to use my platform to bring attention to what I’m doing. But, also bring attention to the current stigma that unfortunately surrounds cannabis,” Theodorou said to BJPENN in 2019 about why he wanted to get marijuana of USADA’s banned list.

“It is something that I can slowly remove. Obviously, the stigma still remains but one step at a time. If what I’m doing allows another athlete to get out of the shadows, then I am kind of doing what is the right thing. Not only for myself but for other athletes to educate themselves and that this is an option. Moreover, remove the fear that any type of punishment will happen for just talking about it,” Elias said.

“Today, this was my last fight. Ain’t no way I’m going to come here without my father. It was my first time after what happened with my father. When UFC called me about Justin, I talk with my mother three days. She don’t (want me) go fight without father but I promise her it’s gonna be my last fight, and if I give my word I have to follow this. It was my last fight here,” he said.

His fighter career comes to an end with a 29-0 career record and 13-0 UFC record. He also posted a photo with his father shortly after the announcement.

“When ALLAH with you, nobody can broke you, nobody 👊⚔️. Thanks Father for everything, you teach all my life, may ALLAH grant you the highest Paradise 🤲,” he wrote.

Amanda won the match with a technical knock out during the first round of UFC 207 on Friday night (December 30) at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

A little over a year ago, Ronda lost her first match ever in a shocking upset from Holly Holm and this was her first time fighting since then.
