The 2026 Independent Spirit Awards are happening now!

The awards show celebrates films budgeted at less than $30 million to produce and must be considered “independent,” as well as television categories.

The show is taking place live the Hollywood Palladium on Sunday (February 15) in Los Angeles.

This year, Netflix has by far the most nominations with 18 total. A24 is next, with 10 nominations total. There are familiar names on the list as well, with actors from The Pitt, Alien: Earth, and more being recognized.

We’re still more than a month away from the Oscars, but the guild awards are already happening and Hollywood stepped out to support directors at the 2026 DGA Awards!

Leonardo DiCaprio, Olivia Wilde, Timothee Chalamet, and Kerry Washington were among the celebs at the Directors Guild of America Awards on Saturday night (February 7) at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif.

One Battle After Another‘s Paul Thomas Anderson won the big award of the night for Theatrical Feature Film directing, paving his way to possibly take home the Best Director award at the Oscars next month.

Each of the five nominated directors – Anderson, Frankenstein‘s Guillermo Del Toro, Hamnet‘s Chloe Zhao, Marty Supreme‘s Josh Safdie, and Sinners‘ Ryan Coogler – received tributes from the collaborators during the event.

Leo honored Anderson, Jacob Elordi paid tribute to Del Toro, Hamnet producer Steven Spielberg honored Zhao, Timothee was there to honor Josh, and Michael B. Jordan paid tribute to Coogler.

The BAFTA Tea event brought out the stars this weekend!

The event was held at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills on Saturday (January 10) in Los Angeles, Calif., ahead of the 2026 Golden Globes.

In attendance included Globes nominees Jessie Buckley, Tessa Thompson and Chase Infiniti, as well as Gwyneth Paltrow and dozens more stars.

The main cast of the Fallout television series is on the red carpet in Los Angeles!

Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, and Xelia Mendes-Jones all came together to visit the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures for the season 2 premiere on Monday night (December 8) ahead of the show’s Prime Video return.

They were also joined by series newcomers Kumail Nanjiani, Macaulay Culkin, and Justin Theroux. Kumail and Macaulay are playing new characters, while Justin is taking over the role of Mr. House from Rafi Silver. The pair took a sweet photo together.

The Eternals star brought along his wife Emily V. Gordon while Justin invited his wife Nicole Brydon Bloom.

Ron Perlman, who famously voices almost all of the game introductions, has been confirmed to join the show’s sophomore season, too, so of course he came out to the premiere with wife Allison Dunbar.

Fallout season 2 premieres on December 17.

FYI: Walton wore Tom Ford and a David Yurman ring. Kyle was wearing Zegna.

Kate Berlant had the support of many celeb friends at the opening night performance of her one-woman play Kate!

An L.A. crowd including Olivia Wilde and Brie Larson stepped out to attend the performance on Sunday night (January 21) at the Pasadena Playhouse in Pasadena, Calif.

Tatiana Maslany, Billy Eichner, Molly Shannon, Martha Plimpton, John C. Reilly and wife Alison Dickey, Kumail Nanjiani and wife Emily V. Gordon, Vanessa Bayer, D’Arcy Carden, Zoe Lister-Jones, cute couple Abbi Jacobson and Jodi Balfour, Bob Odenkirk, Lionel Boyce, Natasha Leggero, Chelsea Peretti, Timothy Simons, and Cazzie David were among the stars there.

Brie (who attended with a new rumored boyfriend) and Maya Rudolph aren’t pictured, but were both in attendance.

In the play, which previously had a sold-out run in New York, Kate explores the events of her life that have brought her to this moment. Embodying many characters in this tour de force performance, she expertly morphs before our eyes and exposes a truth she has, until now, kept hidden. The show is running through February 11.
