The 2026 Oscars race continues to shift, most recently impacted by the 2026 BAFTA Film Awards.

With the British Academy announcing its winners this past weekend, the Best Picture conversation is making headlines again, and the betting odds are increasing.

Now that awards season momentum is building ahead of the Academy Awards in March, one film is pulling ahead as the projected frontrunner, while others are gaining or losing steam following the BAFTAs outcome.

If you didn’t know, Conan O’Brien will host the ceremony on Sunday (March 15) at 7 p.m. ET on ABC.

Data from Polymarket shows a clear favorite emerging, especially in light of the latest awards results.

Leonardo DiCaprio had a late night out at the Super Bowl and then traveled down to Santa Barbara to be honored with an award!

The Oscar-winning actor was joined by One Battle After Another co-stars Sean Penn and Benicio Del Toro at the Hammond Cinema Vanguard Award ceremony on Monday night (February 9) at the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara, Calif.

The three actors were all honored at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

Leo was one of more than 90 celebs who were spotted in the crowd at the Super Bowl on Sunday night in San Francisco.

One Battle After Another is currently nominated for 13 Oscars, including Best Picture. Leo, Sean, and Benicio are all nominated for their performances as well.

The 2026 Oscars are happening in March, and viewers are having heated debates over which movie will take home the biggest prize of the evening: Best Picture.

The official nominees won’t be announced until Thursday (January 22), with the ceremony itself set to take place on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

Although we don’t have the official list just yet, people are already placing their bets on prediction market Kalshi about who will most likely be nominated next year, pouring over $7.4 million into the market volume and counting.

The stars of One Battle After Another are hitting the red carpet!

Leonardo DiCaprio, Teyana Taylor, Chase Infiniti, and Benicio Del Toro all stepped out for the 2026 Golden Globes on Sunday (January 11) at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif.

One Battle After Another is nominated for nine awards tonight including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. Leo, Teyana, Chase, and Sean Penn are also all nominated for their roles in the movie.

Be sure to tune in for the Golden Globes at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT on CBS. The show is hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser for the second year in a row, and honors the best in both movies and television.
