The 2026 Oscars are quickly approaching, and betting markets are already signaling a clear frontrunner in the Best Supporting Actor race.
The ceremony will take place on Sunday, March 15, 2026.
According to prediction market Kalshi, more than $2 million has already been traded on this category, with one nominee pulling far ahead of the pack.

Leonardo DiCaprio had a late night out at the Super Bowl and then traveled down to Santa Barbara to be honored with an award!
The Oscar-winning actor was joined by One Battle After Another co-stars Sean Penn and Benicio Del Toro at the Hammond Cinema Vanguard Award ceremony on Monday night (February 9) at the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara, Calif.
The three actors were all honored at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
Leo was one of more than 90 celebs who were spotted in the crowd at the Super Bowl on Sunday night in San Francisco.
One Battle After Another is currently nominated for 13 Oscars, including Best Picture. Leo, Sean, and Benicio are all nominated for their performances as well.

Sean Penn is enjoying a rare day out with his model girlfriend.
The 65-year-old two-time Oscar winner held hands with Valeria Nicov as they stepped out to do some shopping together on Wednesday afternoon (January 14) in Santa Monica, Calif.
For their outing, Sean sported a navy blazer, white button-down shirt, and gray pants while the Moldovan model and actress wore an all black outfit.
If you didn’t know, Sean and Valeria have been linked since September 2024 and made their red carpet debut at the Marrakech International Film Festival in November 2024 where he was honored with a career award.
The pair usually keep their relationship out of spotlight and they last time we have photos of them out together was in July 2025 when they grabbed dinner in Paris with a bunch of famous friends.

The 50-year-old Oscar-winning actor joined co-stars Regina Hall and Teyana Taylor at a special screening of their new movie One Battle After Another on Sunday (September 21) held at The Film Society of Lincoln Center, Walter Reade Theatre in New York City.
Fellow cast members Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro, and Chase Infiniti were also in attendance.

Leonardo DiCaprio hit the red carpet with the cast of the movie on Tuesday night (September 16) at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London, England.
Joining Leo were co-stars Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, Teyana Taylor, and newcomer Chase Infiniti. Director Paul Thomas Anderson was there with his partner Maya Rudolph, though they walked the carpet separately. Missing from the event was Regina Hall, who is getting Oscar buzz for her performance.
