The 2026 Oscars are around the corner, and betting markets are already predicting who could take home the award for Best Supporting Actress.

The ceremony will take place next month on Sunday, March 15.

With the official nominees announced, prediction market Kalshi has over $1.5 million in volume placed on the Best Supporting Actress race, with one clear frontrunner emerging.

The 2026 Independent Spirit Awards are happening now!

The awards show celebrates films budgeted at less than $30 million to produce and must be considered “independent,” as well as television categories.

The show is taking place live the Hollywood Palladium on Sunday (February 15) in Los Angeles.

This year, Netflix has by far the most nominations with 18 total. A24 is next, with 10 nominations total. There are familiar names on the list as well, with actors from The Pitt, Alien: Earth, and more being recognized.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences invited every Oscar-nominated person to attend the luncheon on Tuesday afternoon (February 10) at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Among the stars in attendance were the casts of Sinners, One Battle After Another, and more.

Every year the luncheon, the Oscar nominees are called up to a platform one-by-one to pose for a class photo. Each nominee gets recognized during this process and they snap a group picture once everyone is up there!

The 2026 Santa Barbara International Film Festival is honoring some of the biggest stars of the year!

Teyana Taylor, Jacob Elordi, and Sydney Sweeney hit the red carpet as they arrived at a ceremony honoring them with Virtuosos Award on Sunday (February 8) held at The Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Fellow recipients in attendance were One Battle After Another‘s Chase Infiniti, Weapons‘ Amy Madigan, Sinners‘ Wunmi Mosaku, and The Secret Agent‘s Wagner Moura.
