Fox News Digital reporter Michael Ruiz tweeted the explanation: “Sources with knowledge of the family’s thinking say the Guthries initially raised the idea of the reward on the first day of the investigation. ABC News has the photo released by the FBI, which they say was “captured by her Nest doorbell camera on a day before the suspected abduction.” The photo shows the suspect wearing a mask, gloves, and a zipped-up jacket, but he’s not wearing a backpack.

Sources told the outlet that there’s a theory that “the suspect approached the door the first time, noticed the camera and was scared off, only to return later, when he is seen tampering with the device and putting branches in front of the lens.”

The Pima County Sheriff has acknowledged a possible new clue in the search for Nancy Guthrie.

In an interview with NBC News, they sat down and looked at the suspect images.

TMZ claims this second note says, “I am not being taken seriously.” Apparently, this person made “some ominous statements” in the new email, and made it clear things have changed.

They said this would be their final attempt, and they need the Bitcoin deposited so they won’t be “incriminated like that Carlos guy.”

The first note they received from this person apparently said: “If they want the name of the individual involved then I want 1 Bitcoin to the following wallet. Time is more than relevant.” If you don’t know, right now 1 bitcoin is worth around $65,000.

The site also shares that no money has been deposited into this Bitcoin account.

First, authorities have reportedly asked residents in the area to check cameras at their homes for two dates in January: January 31 between 9:30 AM and 11 AM, which is the last day she was seen, but also, January 11 between 9 PM and midnight.

They also apparently saw a suspicious vehicle on January 31 at 10 PM, according to TMZ.

In addition, on Wolf Blitzer‘s CNN show on Thursday (February 12), he revealed a white tent was put up outside of Nancy Guthrie‘s home. It appears to be in the location where the blood spatter was originally seen.

CNN mused this could be why they are trying to replicate conditions of the time this kidnapping might’ve happened, with more darkness.
