Fox is re-airing the 2024 television special The Real Full Monty to celebrate the memory of James Van Der Beek and to raise awareness for cancer.

The special, featuring six male celebs stripping on TV, originally served as an evening to raise awareness for prostate, testicular and colorectal cancer testing and research.

Anthony Anderson executive produced the special and is one of the six stars stripping down. He recruited five more guys to join him.

“Don’t die of embarrassment. Get checked! That’s the message behind The Real Full Monty special,” Anthony said in a statement. “I am honored to lead the charge of rallying these fearless men to bare it all, in order to provoke, inspire and in this case, beg you to get screened for cancer. That’s our goal…so what are you waiting for!?”

Anthony will lead the men “as they train and rehearse for the most revealing performance of their careers, culminating with a big strip-tease dance, choreographed by Emmy Award-winner Mandy Moore, where they will bare all in front of a live audience. Leading up to the final disrobing, the men will push their limits of comfortability, modesty and brotherhood with a series of rehearsals and experiences, both private and public, designed to build confidence and remove them far from their comfort zone and strengthen their bond as a group. Along the way, each of the celebrities will share their personal stories of how cancer has impacted their lives.”

Fox is airing the two-hour special again at 8/7c on Wednesday (February 18).

Taye Diggs is moving into a new space for the entertainment industry!

The 55-year-old actor will star in a new series for microdrama streaming platfrom CandyJar, becoming one of the first major stars to lead a vertical show.

CandyJar features romance series that are shot in a vertical aspect ratio for viewing on mobile phones, with each episode just 1 to 2 minutes in length. They are known to have low production costs, with Variety noting that actors tend to make $500 for each day of work.

Taye will star in a new series that has the working title Off Limits & All Mine.

The show will follow Taye as “a widower who takes in his best friend’s rebellious daughter and realizes that a dangerous and transformative connection is about to unfold,” according to Variety. Production begins in February in Atlanta.

It doesn’t sound like Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel‘s son will be following in their Broadway footsteps!

If you forgot, the 54-year-old All American actor and the 54-year-old Wicked actress married in 2003 after starring in the 1996 Broadway production of Rent. They split in 2013 and their divorce was finalized two years later. They share 15-year-old son Walker.

While appearing on Live With Kelly & Mark on Thursday (July 31) to promote his new role in Moulin Rouge! on Broadway, Taye admitted that Walker “can’t stand” musical theater.

The 54-year-old actor just went on a getaway to the Caribbean and stayed at Sandals Royal Curaçao.

Taye enjoyed a stay in a seaside bungalow, which gave him views of the Caribbean Sea right from his private infinity pool.

“I had such a great time at the Sandals Royal Curaçao property- after visiting Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines earlier this year, a getaway to the Caribbean was exactly what I needed before getting back to work,” Taye said.

Taye will join the cast of the Broadway musical Moulin Rouge as The Duke of Monroth beginning on July 22 through September 28.

Taye Diggs recently celebrated his 54th birthday and he rang in the new year by taking a trip to the Caribbean.

The All American actor kicked off the new year with a birthday getaway to Sandals in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The photos were taken early last week before the tragic fires in Los Angeles.

Taye stayed in a one-bedroom beachfront villa with personal butler service. His villa came with a private pool and views of the beach. While at the resort, he played pickle ball, went for a bike ride, and lounged in the sun.

Taye‘s actual birthday was on January 2 and he took to Instagram that day to share his “birfday dance” video. Watch below!

We’re one week away from the release of the Wicked movie and we decided to look back at 20 famous actors who appeared in the show after Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel opened the musical.

Taye returned as Billy through flashback scenes as his kids read letters that he wrote for them to open after they graduated college, though his wife decided they needed them a little early. Spencer, who was basically an adopted child of the family, was given Billy’s journal.

“Before Taye left, I made him promise that if I called, he would come back. And to Taye’s credit, from minute one, he was like, ‘Anytime you call, I am there. Whatever you need,’” Carroll told Variety. “I always knew there was no way we were never going to see Billy Baker again.”

Carroll opened up about the loss of her own father and how many writers and crew members on the show had similar experiences.

“When we all used to talk about our personal experiences, all of us sort of had the same moment of ‘I still talk to my dad,’ or ‘I found a letter of my dad’s and it triggered this conversation,’” she said. “There was always something. It was never just over for any of us when our fathers passed, and so we really wanted to honor the truth of that moment. I knew I wanted to do something where the important people in Billy’s life were having a conversation with him without realizing they were having a conversation with him. And then doing something distinct for Laura, because she talks to Billy every day anyway. She doesn’t need a journal. She doesn’t need a letter, because he’s always with her. That’s sort of what that final moment represented. He’s still there co-parenting the kids, to get them through these tough moments.”

TV Line reveals that Taye will return in the upcoming May 20th episode of The CW series, but details are currently unknown about how his character will be included in the story.

“There’s no All American without Billy Baker, and there’s no All American universe without Taye Diggs,” showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll previously shared. “He’s always welcome back and was the first person to be like, ‘I will happily come back whenever you want me to.’ If there are organic moments, and when there are moments that it feels right for Billy to return, that is absolutely something that both Taye and the show would love to make happen. We’re not closing the door on anything or anyone.”

Taye‘s upcoming appearance will be in the 99th episode of All American, just one week before the show celebrates its 100th!

The show recently made headlines amid the news that two of the stars of the upcoming film adaptation are reportedly dating in real life.

After meeting on the set of Rent, the couple got together. While on the Dinner’s On Me podcast, Idina explained that things got difficult for them as they advanced in Hollywood.

The thing that came into play more — and he’s talked about it too — is the interracial aspect of it,” she said, via Us Weekly. “Because when you’re in the theater, it’s just not a thing, like, we all love each other and sleep with each other and [are] best friends with whoever wants to be.”

She continued, saying, “And it seemed like there was disappointment in the community with him because he was married to [a] white, Jewish girl from some show we don’t even remember, and so, I took that on too. That’s stuff that we had to deal with. It was less about being successful and more about that kind of stuff.”

Idina recalled being asked to step away from Taye on the red carpet so that photographers could get shots of just him.

Noting that landing Wicked changed the dynamic, she said that Taye was “always so supportive.”

Taye Diggs has left the show after five seasons

Taye Diggs‘ character Billy Baker was killed off the show in episode 11 of season five.

The tire on the team’s bus blew out and the bus ended up hanging off a cliff. When Billy realized that Jabari was still stuck inside the bus, he went back in to try and rescue him. Billy’s family was informed of his death at the end of the episode.

“I had a pretty good idea at the end of last season that that was where the season was going,” showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll told Variety. “We were so incredibly lucky to have Taye Diggs be part of this production from day one, so one of the things that we’d always talked about was, we have no idea of how long we would be able to hold on to him. I mean, he’s Taye Diggs. So we were like, let’s always make sure we’re communicating with each other, and when it feels like it’s the right time, if we’re both feeling that way, we’ll have the conversation and figure out a really dope way to have him exit the show.”

Carroll knew that this was the only way to have Billy exit the show.

“Even though it was so far in advance, I already knew that whenever it would happen, that this was how I was going to do it. I pitched it to him like I was pitching an episode, beat by beat, even though it was still easily a year away,” she said. “He was like, ‘It feels like the right time and it feels like the right way to do it.’ It just felt right for both of us.”

All American is the only The CW show renewed for next season so far and a report claims that only two more shows will get renewals.

Nia Long hugs Terrence Howard tight at the premiere of their new series, The Best Man: The Final Chapters, held at Hollywood Athletic Club on Wednesday night (December 7) in Hollywood.

The two stars were joined by a ton of their co-stars on the red carpet, including Morris Chestnut, Taye Diggs, Melissa De Sousa, Sanaa Lathan, Regina Hall, Harold Perrineau, and Terrence Terrell.

The series, premiering on December 22 on Peacock, is based on the film franchise, and will catch up with the beloved cast as relationships evolve and past grievances resurface in the unpredictable stages of midlife crisis meets midlife renaissance.

The premiere marks Nia‘s first appearance since it was confirmed she had split with her partner of 13 years, Ime Udoka, who came under fire for an affair he had with a female staffer within the Boston Celtics organization.

Idina Menzel has gotten real about her struggles with in-vitro fertilization (IVF).

The 51-year-old Wicked actress gets very vulnerable in the upcoming documentary, Idina Menzel: Which Way to the Stage? which follows her national tour in 2018, all while going through multiple rounds of IVF.

Idina married actor Aaron Lohr in 2017. “Maybe before meeting me, [Aaron] didn’t think he wanted to have kids, and then he sees how good of a dad he can be,” she told People. “So I wanted that for him.”

“I’m literally going through stuff that I’m shooting into my body and I don’t know how that’s going to affect my voice,” she said of the journey of touring and IVF treatments simultaneously. Idina decided to share this journey with others not knowing the outcome of the treatments.

“No matter what the outcome, I just wanted women to feel seen in this film and people to understand what we go through. It was important to me to forgo the privacy of that and allow people to have a little window into that experience,” Idina said.

But the journey is now over as both Idina and Aaron have “moved beyond that.” She has 13-year-old son Walker, with ex-husband Taye Diggs.

“I have this amazing son and I was fortunate enough to have him. And the pregnancy was pretty easy and I conceived easily, and there’s a lot of people that don’t even get to have that,” Idina said with gratitude.

Taye Diggs and his girlfriend Apryl Jones are getting in the holiday spirit!

The 51-year-old actor stepped out with his love for producer Jennifer Klein’s Holiday Party on Saturday (December 3) at a private residence in Brentwood, Calif.

This is the couple’s second year in a row attending the event!

Some of the other stars who were at the party included Ted Lasso‘s Brett Goldstein, Full House‘s John Stamos with wife Caitlin McHugh, Tia Mowry, and songwriter Diane Warren, who just received an honorary Oscar. Cadillac treated some of the partygoers to chauffeured driven Escalades.

Guests at the party enjoyed Santa’s Spicy Cider, a specialty holiday cocktail created with Don Julio Reposado.

Also served at the party were OLIPOP’s new holiday flavors like Cream Soda, spindrift SPIKED’s new flavor Spiced Apple Cider, and Dragon Hemp’s individual packs of CBD gummies.

Wellness was also a theme at the party and there were some goodies for guests to bring home, including individual packs of OLLY immunity gummies, seasonal flavors of Nuun Hydration’s electrolyte tablets, and Welly supplements like Sleep Champ and Daily Immune Supporter, plus their Face Saver clear spot bandages.

For the past four years, Taye Diggs has hosted the Critics Choice Awards.

This year, the show is moving in a different direction and has just announced who will be hosting the 28th annual Critics Choice Awards on Sunday, January 15, 2023.

The 50-year-old All American actor was all smiles while exiting the star-studded event on Saturday night (December 4) at a private house in Brentwood, Calif.

Taye was joined by former Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star Apryl Jones and eyewitnesses say they danced the night away on the outdoor dance floor.
