Luke Grimes and Arielle Kebbel walk the red carpet separately at the premiere event for their new series Marshals on Tuesday evening (February 24) in Los Angeles.

The two actors joined several of their Yellowstone spinoff co-stars at the event, which was held at the Autry Museum of the American West.

Also in attendance were fellow series regulars Mo Brings Plenty, Ash Santos, Tatanka Means, Gil Birmingham and Brecken Merrill, as well as recurring guest stars Brett Cullen, Ellyn Jameson, Morgan Lindholm, Riley Green and Chris Mulkey.

Yellowstone universe stars Luke Grimes and Brandon Sklenar were among the celebrities attending UFC 324 this past weekend!

The Marshals and 1923 stars hit the carpet at the event, which also celebrated the first of UFC‘s matches streaming on Paramount+ at T-Mobile Arena on Saturday (January 24) in Las Vegas.

UFC’s debut on the streamer drew in 4.96 million live average minute audience/streaming views for the main card, with a peak concurrent stream of 5.93 million.

Luke Grimes‘ new television show, which is a Yellowstone spinoff from Taylor Sheridan, has a confirmed cast list!

The series is titled Marshals! It was originally titled Y: Marshals, but underwent a slight title change a few weeks ago. In addition to returning characters from the Yellowstone universe, there will also be some new stars joining the cast as well. However, fans are now suspecting that a major character will be killed off!

The fan-favorite series Yellowstone wrapped its five-season run in December 2024 and multiple sequel series have been ordered with more in development.

Michelle Pfeiffer will star in the spinoff series The Madison, about the McIntosh family who live in the Madison River valley of central Montana.

There will be 13 episodes in the first season of Y: Marshals and the show is set to begin shooting in summer 2025 with plans to launch in 2026 as a mid-season premiere.

Along with the spinoff that will follow Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser), CBS is developing a procedural in which Luke Grimes would reprise his role of Beth’s kid brother, Kayce, via Puck.

Luke told Men’s Health, “I haven’t talked to him since. It’s not a case of any hard feelings or anything; it’s just, he’s Kevin Costner. [Laughs] He’s a big deal. I do have his phone number—I just don’t feel like it’s my place to reach out. He can reach out to me if he wants to. None of us saw it coming the way it did, and obviously there was news about possible blowups behind the scenes or whatever. But just like in life, man, these things happen, they happen fast, and they’re not predictable.”

Luke continued, “I lost my father a few years ago. It happened fast, and it was not the way that you would think that that would happen. In life, these things happen and then people have to start making decisions. And in our little Yellowstone world, that helped ramp the show up into a boil.”

Yellowstone has just come to an end after airing the fifth season finale, and perhaps the series finale, on Sunday night (December 15)!

While a season six renewal has not been confirmed, there have been some questions about the future of the show, even though it was previously said to end after this season.

Star Kelly Reilly even shared an emotional post ahead of the finale, saying this is the end of the show as we know it. However, it was recently announced a spinoff is in the works with her character!

So, how did Yellowstone end? The season finale was jam-packed and included yet another death.

The finale starts off with several of the ranch hands saying their goodbyes and where they are off to next. Jimmy, Mia and Travis go back to the 6666 in Texas, while Walker says he’s going to follow his girlfriend on the rodeo circuit.

Kayce sold off the Yellowstone ranch to Chief Thomas Rainwater for $1.25/acre, the same amount the Duttons purchased it for originally. As part of the deal, he secured the North Camp land for him, where he would live with Monica and Tate.

Speaking of land, Beth shows Rip a plot of land asking if they could find a way to make that their new home, and after they discussed it and he agreed, she said she already bought it that morning.

The Duttons laid patriarch John Dutton to rest at a small funeral with just the family, minus Jamie, where Beth promised to get retribution for her father’s death.

Following the funeral, Beth went straight to Jamie’s house, armed with bear spray and a big knife, where she snuck up on her estranged brother and the two got into a brawl.

During their fight, Jamie tells her that she is going to be arrested and charged with their father’s murder and she’ll rot in a jail cell as he oversees the ranch being sold in pieces to be transformed into a recreational destination.

She informs him that it was already sold and he gets more angry, but Rip shows up and throws him into a wall. Before Rip could do much damage, Beth interrupts him and shoves the knife right into Jamie’s heart and demanding he look her right in the eyes to fulfill her promise of being the last face he sees.

Next, she tells Rip to call 911, and that he should take the body to the train station, the ravine over the state border where there’s no police jurisdiction. She says she’ll spin a story that Jamie assaulted her and he ran off while she was unconscious.

Rip and Lloyd dispose of the body and set Jamie’s car on fire in a field in Iowa, while Beth’s story is validated and there are warrants issued for Jamie’s arrest.

At the end of the episode, Yellowstone signage is removed from the ranch by the tribe. Mo Brings Plenty follows a group of kids into the woods where he finds them destroying Dutton family headstones. He stops them and says it’s hallowed ground and as he puts headstones back in place, we hear the voice of Elsa Dutton, from 1883 played by Isabel May, as she narrates the ending moments and connects dots tracing back to the family’s first trek from Texas to Montana.

The 40-year-old actor has been starring as Kayce Dutton, one of the sons of the 69-year-old actor’s character John Dutton, since the beginning.

In a new interview ahead of the Paramount Network television show’s return this weekend, Luke dished on what it was like filming the second half of season five without Kevin.

“Him not coming back felt like, ‘Okay, we’re going to have to land this plane now for real,’” he told People. “I think the patriarch leaving was always going to be part of the story. That’s always where it was headed is like, what do these kids do? What does this family do when their rock is gone?”

“Whatever the circumstances may be, [it] definitely felt like, ‘Okay, we’re coming in for a landing,’” he added, acknowledging the drama around Kevin‘s exit. “It definitely felt different.”

“He’s a big presence, man, guy’s an icon,” Luke shared. “So not having him around to set felt a little different. But as always, I mean, we’re a big family now. It was just as special and hopefully, the fans will be able to connect with the story just as much … I think they will be able to.”

Luke also spoke to the possibility of the show continuing after the end of the season. There are rumors it could get another season!

“I think when anything is this successful, there’s a pressure to keep it going because they know they have an audience and that’s what they’re looking for,” he said. “But it all comes down to Taylor [Sheridan's] vision. He has to see it to be able to write it, and I don’t think he’s going to write something that he doesn’t want to. Basically we’re just going to see if Taylor has an idea that he gets excited about, and that’s going to make all the difference here.”

Earlier this month, the 40-year-old Yellowstone actor’s wife Bianca Rodrigues Grimes announced on Instagram that they recently welcomed their first child together, a baby boy.

The new Yellowstone series is beginning to take shape.

Taylor Sheridan’s latest spinoff has secured four stars nearing deals to appear in the series, TVLine reports.

The show was previously known as 2024, but now tentatively is titled The Madison, and is “rumored to follow wealthy matriarch Stacy Clyburn and her family as they leave New York City and head to Montana in the wake of her husband and brother-in-law’s tragic deaths in a plane crash.”

Casting for supporting roles is still ongoing, and production is set to begin later in August in Montana, New York and Texas, with a tentative premiere date sometime in 2025 after the premiere of Yellowstone‘s Season 5B on November 10.

Luke Grimes is opening up about co-star Kevin Costner not returning to Yellowstone.

The 40-year-old actor stars on the Paramount Network series as Kayce Dutton, one of the sons of the 69-year-old actor’s John Dutton.

In a new interview, Luke shared his thoughts on Kevin‘s exit from the show ahead of the second half of season five, which will now be the last season.

“Whatever happened there is unfortunate if it’s changed anything about how the show was going to unfold,” Luke told The Independent. “I know, [Costner] got busy with his movies that were like passion projects.”

“At a certain point, you gotta do what you gotta do, man; you gotta do what you love,” he added.

One of Kevin‘s upcoming projects is the two-part theatrical event Horizon: An American Saga.

Kevin also recently addressed his Yellowstone future, revealing how long he thought he was going to be on the show.
