A rep for Martin Short has confirmed the tragic passing of his daughter Katherine.

Earlier today, it was reported that the 42-year-old was found deceased on Monday (February 23) at her home in Los Angeles. TMZ is reporting that it was a self-inflicted gunshot wound, but this has not been confirmed by the Short family at this time.

She was adopted by Martin and his late wife Nancy, who died in 2010. She is survived by Martin, as well as her younger brothers, Henry and Oliver.

News broke last night of the tragic death of Robert Carradine, who sadly passed away at 71 after taking his own life due to Bipolar Disorder.

This has brought a renewed interest in his family, who are a multi-generational acting dynasty.

Robert‘s dad is John Carradine, who was a highly prolific actor in Hollywood. He also had siblings who were actors, including Keith Carradine.

In addition, he had a half-brother named David Carradine, who tragically died at the age of 72 back in 2009. He was found dead in a hotel room in Bangkok, Thailand.

David and Robert were half-brothers, sharing the same father, John Carradine. David was the son of John Carradine and his first wife, Dina May Waites, while Robert was the son of John and his third wife, Everleen McLaughlin.

ABC News reported in 2010 that David died in the following manner: “accidentally suffocated in a lone sex practice known as autoerotic asphyxiation.” He was allegedly “found naked in the room’s closet hanging from a rope.” If you’re wondering, autoerotic asphyxiation induces “cerebral hypoxia during self-stimulated sexual activities, often by constricting the neck or obstructing respiratory passages.”

The Metropolitan Police confirmed reports of an unconscious 34-year-old man on Lincoln Plaza, Canary Wharf who was declared dead on the scene, per People.

“His death is currently being treated as unexplained,” the police said in a statement, adding that there is now an investigation.

Jordan reportedly spent over $150,000 on cosmetic procedures in his life.

A 43-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman were arrested on Friday (Friday 20) on suspicion of manslaughter, it’s also been reported.

The spokesperson for the police added officers were “reviewing information that suggests the victim may have been undergoing a cosmetic procedure prior to his death” and were awaiting examination results, per BBC.

Jordan was arrested in 2024 after a mother of five died after getting sick following a non-surgical “liquid BBL” at a clinic he co-ran, via Daily Mail.

He was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter, but was not charged. The investigation also found he was illegally selling prescription-only weight-loss injections online, per BBC.

He appeared on Botched in 2015 and again in 2019, asking for help for his “leaking lips” and getting denied a second nose job amid doctor concerns for his ability to breathe.

In a 2016 appearance on This Morning, called “My Obsession With Kim Kardashian Could Kill Me,” he detailed spending tens of thousands on cosmetic procedures and expressed no intention of stopping.

The news was confirmed by Entertainment Weekly per a close source after several social media posts began circulating announcing her death.

A cause of death has not yet been made public, but Maxi announced she was diagnosed with throat cancer in September of 2025.

Tom‘s The Monster Squad director Fred Dekker also confirmed the actor’s passing on Facebook.

Tre’ Johnson has sadly passed away.

The former NFL player was 54 years old when he died this past Sunday (February 15) during a family trip, his wife Irene confirmed on Facebook.

“It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that my husband, Tre’ Johnson, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday February 15, 2026, during a brief family trip. His four children, Chloe, EJ, EZ and Eden, extended family, friends, and I are devastated and in shock,” Irene shared.

“If you know Tre’ you know what a devoted and loving father, he was to his children,” she continued. “Tre’ lived for his kid’s sports activities and supported them through every practice and game until he took his last breath. He shared his passion for Frenchie’s and riding his motorcycle with me and his fellow biking buddies.”

Irene then added some facts about his sports career, including his years playing for the Washington Commanders (previously Redskins) from 1994 to 2001, before going to the Cleveland Browns for one year. He then returned to the Redskins for his final season.

Following his football retirement, his wife notes, “he also found his second career passion, education. He worked as a History Teacher at the Landon School in Bethesda Maryland, where he was beloved by the young male students he mentored and the faculty. His recent battles with health issues forced him to take a leave of absence.”

Civil rights icon and two-time Presidential candidate Rev. Jesse Jackson has died at the age of 84, his family confirmed.

A statement, released on Instagram, confirmed, “It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of civil rights leader and founder of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, the Honorable Reverend Jesse Louis Jackson Sr. He died peacefully on Tuesday morning, surrounded by his family,” the statement said.

The Jackson family said: “Our father was a servant leader — not only to our family, but to the oppressed, the voiceless, and the overlooked around the world. He reportedly jumped from a helicopter in a wingsuit in the Mont Blanc massif, a mountain range in the French Alps, on Saturday (February 7), according to several French news outlets.

The 2026 FAI World Championships team member’s parachute did not open for an unknown reason. An investigation is still ongoing.

His body was found in the village of Les Bossons.

First responders declared him dead at the scene, per Le Figaro.

The Fédération Française de Parachutisme (FPF) wrote he would be “remembered as a teammate whose presence will forever be etched in the memories of those around him” in a translated statement, per People.

In December, he posted, “Over the last few weeks, my life has changed very fast. What started as esophageal cancer ended up spreading aggressively to my liver and weirdly, I had almost no symptoms from the esophagus itself.”

Just one week ago, he wrote, “Sharing a quick update and raising awareness. I had no symptoms from the primary cancer, all my symptoms came once it spread to my liver. Please listen to your body and push for answers. I’m so grateful for every message and bit of support ❤️”

His mom posted on February 8, “never wanted to share this news with you all so soon. As a family we are truly heartbroken to announce that our precious boy Dean Franklin who fought so courageously over 8 weeks and 3 days passed over at 21.39pm last night. He was surrounded by love. I have been getting MSG’s from people this morning and wanted as his ma to manifest my son’s courage to share with you all. As a family we will post in more length when we are able. Until then please know that the love you gave to our Dean and all of us has meant so very much.”

Retired pro football player Tracy Scroggins has sadly passed away.

On Monday (February 9), it was announced that the NFL star, who spent all 10 seasons of his career playing for the Detroit Lions, had died at the age of 56.

Tracy‘s family revealed his passing in a touching tribute.

“Tracy was a devoted father, cherished family member, and loyal friend whose life was marked by remarkable strength and perseverance,” his family continued. “While many knew him for his career as a professional football player in the NFL, those closest to him knew him as a kind-hearted and generous man who cared deeply for his family and friends.”

The statement concluded, “Playing in the NFL gave Tracy the opportunity to pursue his lifelong dream and to rise from poverty. However, unfortunately, the NFL was also ultimately the cause of his untimely demise. Tracy spent every moment of retirement courageously battling the devastating effects of CTE. While our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that he is finally at peace.”

Funeral services for Tracy will be held in his hometown of Checotah, Oklahoma on February 27.

Tracy, a linebacker and defensive end, was drafted to the Lions in 1992 and played with the team until he retired from football in 2001.

In 2016, he filed a lawsuit against the NFL, alleging Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), which is “a brain disease likely caused by repeated head injuries. It causes the death of nerve cells in the brain, known as degeneration,” per the Mayo Clinic.

Former child actor Blake Garrett has sadly passed away at the young age of 33.

Best known for playing Plug in the 2006 family movie How to Eat Fried Worms, Blake‘s only other professional credit was an appearance in a Barney movie in 2004.

Blake‘s mother has revealed some details about his death and why she believes it was a “tragic accident.”

TMZ reports that Blake died on Sunday (February 8) and that the official cause of death has not yet been determined. An autopsy is being performed.

Blake was admitted to the emergency room last week and was diagnosed with shingles. His mom believes he “may have self-medicated to cope with the pain from the viral infection, and she believes his death could have been a tragic accident.”

Blake passed away in Oklahoma, where he has been living for the past three years after getting sober.

Her cause of death, per TMZ, has been listed as “pulmonary embolism, with rectal cancer as the underlying cause.”

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office also revealed that she was cremated.

According to the Mayo Clinic, “A pulmonary embolism is a blood clot that blocks and stops blood flow to an artery in the lung. In most cases, the blood clot starts in a deep vein in the leg and travels to the lung.”

It was said that paramedics were called to her home in Brentwood, Calif. at 4:48 a.m. on the day she passed for medical aid call and was transported in “serious condition.”

Brad Arnold has passed away at the age of 47.

The founder, lead singer, and songwriter of the band 3 Doors Down passed away on Saturday (February 7), according to a statement released by the band on their social media.

His wife, Jennifer Sanderford, and his family were by his side when he passed away peacefully in his sleep after a battle with cancer.
