Each and every TV season, fans anxiously await announcements about their favorite programs, hoping for renewal news.

However, as is the case every year, there will always be some shows that are canceled due to budget constraints, ratings issues, and other factors.

2026 has unfortunately kicked off with several big TV show cancellations, and we’re recapping them all here.

So far, we’re noting a few prominent canceled shows, including 1 from CBS, 1 from NBC, 3 from Netflix, 1 from PBS, 1 from HGTV, 1 from Fox, and more. In addition, some shows were announced to be ending this year.

PBS and PBS Masterpiece continue to deliver great content each and every year, and 2026 has been no exception so far.

If you don’t know, the broadcaster has had so many hits recently and throughout the years, including shows like All Creatures Great and Small, Miss Scarlet, Call the Midwife and Grantchester.

PBS Masterpiece airs so many other Sunday night fan favorite dramas, mysteries, and thrillers that are must-watches!

You may be upset to learn that a few shows are actually ending this year. In addition, we’ve learned of some renewals and we have updates on the cancellation status of 2 shows as well. We have the full update on the renewal and cancellation slate for the network.

By the way, many of these shows are from the UK and originally air on the BBC and ITV before heading to PBS.

The trailer for the upcoming PBS Masterpiece series, The Count of Monte Cristo, has just debuted!

Sam Claflin is taking on the leading role in the series, which will debut on March 22 on the fan fave network.

Here’s the season’s synopsis: On the eve of his wedding, Edmond Dantès’ future is suddenly snatched away when he is wrongly accused of treason. As the years pass, Edmond endures his sentence on the island prison of the Castle d’If with no hope of returning to his beloved fiancée, Mercedes. But his fortunes change when he encounters a fellow inmate, the Abbé Faria, who imparts his vast knowledge to the young man, including the whereabouts of a hidden treasure. Armed with this knowledge and the desire for revenge, Edmond escapes and reinvents himself as the wealthy and mysterious Count of Monte Cristo. Jeremy Irons and Ana Girardot also star.

All Creatures Great and Small is finally returning to PBS Masterpiece tonight with all new episodes, and we have the latest on the cast for season six.

Here’s the synopsis for season six, per PBS: “All Creatures Great and Small Season 6 takes us back to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales for more heartwarming human and animal tales but, this time, we find our beloved Skeldale gang in a somewhat different situation as we join them in 1945, just as the war in Europe is coming to a close. We arrive back in Darrowby to veterinary advancements, expanded families, and new faces as they all look ahead to a brighter and more peaceful future. This season will see Herriot’s wonderful characters navigating the opportunities that a new world brings, a host of animals great and small, and of course, each other.”

Unfortunately, one familiar face from past seasons was previously replaced in the role, and one is seemingly exiting the series. Several are confirmed to return. Just Jared has gathered all the news for you to see here.

Miss Scarlet – which was rebranded from Miss Scarlet and the Duke – is returning for season six next week on PBS Masterpiece!

We now know which main stars are returning for season six, plus, who exited the series after past seasons.

Here’s the synopsis for the season: Miss Eliza Scarlet is doing her best to have it all. Her business is thriving, but her personal life enters new territory as she attempts to follow her heart and develop a relationship with Inspector Alexander Blake. Eliza may be an expert solving crimes, but she’s very much a novice when it comes to love. Can Eliza juggle the twin demands of her personal and professional life?

Tune in for the series’ season six debut on Sunday, January 11, 2026, 8/7c.
