Real-life uncle-and-nephew duo Joseph Fiennes and Hero Fiennes Tiffin are promoting their new project together!

Joseph and Hero hit the red carpet for the premiere of their new Prime Video series Young Sherlock on Tuesday (February 24) at Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, England.

Hero is playing the role of a 19-year-old Sherlock Holmes when he was an amateur investigator at Oxford University and Joseph is playing his father Silas Holmes.

For those who don’t know, Hero‘s mother Martha Fiennes is Joseph‘s older sister!

Also in attendance at the premiere were co-stars Zine Tseng, Donal Finn, Max Irons, and Numan Acar, as well as director Guy Ritchie.

We have our first look at Hero Fiennes Tiffin as young Sherlock Holmes in the upcoming Guy Ritchie series Young Sherlock!

The series also stars Dónal Finn as James Moriarty, Zine Tseng as Princess Gulun Shou’an, Joseph Fiennes as Silas Holmes, Natascha McElhone as Cordelia Holmes, Max Irons as Mycroft Holmes, and Colin Firth as Sir Bucephalus Hodge. By the way, Joseph is Hero‘s uncle!

With all the wit and charm of Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes feature films, Young Sherlock follows the origin story of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s beloved detective in an explosive re-imagining of this iconic character’s early days. Sherlock Holmes is a disgraced young man – raw and unfiltered – when he finds himself wrapped up in a murder case that threatens his liberty. His first ever case unravels a globe-trotting conspiracy that changes his life forever. Unfolding in 1870s Oxford and adventuring abroad, the series will expose the early antics of the anarchic adolescent who is yet to evolve into Baker Street’s most renowned resident.

The series will begin streaming on Prime Video sometime in 2026.

Colin Firth is getting to work on Guy Ritchie‘s Young Sherlock series!

The 64-year-old actor – who stars in lots of fan favorite holiday films like Bridget Jones’s Diary and Love, Actually – was photographed on the set of the Amazon Prime Video show on Sunday (November 24) in Cardiff, Wales. It appeared as if Max Irons, playing Mycroft Holmes, might also have been on set!

Colin is set to portray Sir Bucephalus Hodge in the show, but we don’t have any further details. Hero Fiennes Tiffin, best known for his work in the After movie franchise, is playing the title role in the new series based on Andy Lane‘s novels. Also starring in the series are Hero‘s real-life uncle Joseph Fiennes, as well as Natascha McElhone and Zine Tseng.

Here’s the synopsis for the series: “At age 19, Sherlock Holmes is disgraced, raw, unfiltered, and unformed, when he finds himself caught up in a murder mystery at Oxford University which threatens his freedom. Diving into his first-ever case with a wild lack of discipline, Sherlock manages to unravel a globe-trotting conspiracy that will change his life forever.”

Young Sherlock is filling out its cast!

Guy Ritchie‘s Prime Video series has cast the title character’s older brother, Deadline confirms.

Condor star Max Irons is set as a series regular, playing Mycroft Holmes alongside Hero Fiennes Tiffin as Sherlock.

The actor was photographed on the set of the series, although his character had not been revealed until now.
