Debbie Allen was recently presented with an Academy Honorary Award and she’s celebrating her win with the Broadway community!

The legendary actress, director, and choreographer was joined by sister Phylicia Rashad, Oscar winner Ariana DeBose, and more at a cocktail reception held at the Shubert Organization’s JJ Shubert Penthouse on Friday (February 20) in New York City.

The event was held ahead of the upcoming Oscars, which will happen on March 15. Debbie received her award during the Governors Awards in November 2025, but will likely be recognized again at the Oscars this year.

Also in attendance at the cocktail reception were Misty Copeland, Joshua Boone, George Faison, Susan Fales-Hill, and more.

Debbie makes her return to Broadway this year, directing a revival of the classic play Joe Turner’s Come and Gone. The production begins preview performances on March 30 and stars Cedric the Entertainer and Taraji P. Henson. Get tickets now!

The stars were out to close the weekend at the 2025 Governors Awards!

This year’s event took place on Sunday (November 15) at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Los Angeles.

The Governors Awards celebrate a series of “awards conferred by the Academy’s Board of Governors – the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award, the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award and the Honorary Award.”

Misty Copeland and Oprah Winfrey are all smiles while posing for photos at the 2025 American Ballet Theatre Fall Gala held at David Geffen Hall on Wednesday (October 22) in New York City.

The 43-year-old ballet dancer was honored at the event, and marked her return to the stage for the first time in five years, giving her final performance for the American Ballet Theatre after 25 years with the company.

Phylicia Rashad is honoring her TV son Malcolm-Jamal Warner after his death.

The 77-year-old actress took to the stage during the 2025 Emmy Awards on Sunday night (September 14) to introduce the In Memoriam segment.

Phylicia began by paying tribute to Malcolm-Jamal, who played her son on The Cosby Show.

The Gilded Age season three, episode three stills are here!

HBO released a new batch of photos and they’re heavy on the Russell family and the conflict within.

It looks like there are a lot of moments between Bertha (Carrie Coon) and George (Morgan Spector), as well as Gladys (Taissa Farmiga). Noticeably, the Duke (Ben Lamb) is not featured in any stills despite the fact that he’s staying with them and supposedly headed for a possible forced engagement with Gladys.

It also looks like Larry (Harry Richardson) and Marian (Louisa Jacobson) have a few more moments together.

In addition, it looks like Peggy (Denée Benton) and Dr. William Kirkland (Jordan Donica)’s relationship might be progressing!

We’re also going to meet some new characters! Jessica Frances Dukes, who is being introduced as Athena Trumbo, as well as Phylicia Rashad, who is playing Mrs. Elizabeth Kirkland, are both featured in new stills.
