Debbie Allen was recently presented with an Academy Honorary Award and she’s celebrating her win with the Broadway community!

The legendary actress, director, and choreographer was joined by sister Phylicia Rashad, Oscar winner Ariana DeBose, and more at a cocktail reception held at the Shubert Organization’s JJ Shubert Penthouse on Friday (February 20) in New York City.

The event was held ahead of the upcoming Oscars, which will happen on March 15. Debbie received her award during the Governors Awards in November 2025, but will likely be recognized again at the Oscars this year.

Also in attendance at the cocktail reception were Misty Copeland, Joshua Boone, George Faison, Susan Fales-Hill, and more.

Debbie makes her return to Broadway this year, directing a revival of the classic play Joe Turner’s Come and Gone. The production begins preview performances on March 30 and stars Cedric the Entertainer and Taraji P. Henson. Get tickets now!

This year’s event took place on Sunday (November 15) at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Los Angeles.

The Governors Awards celebrate a series of “awards conferred by the Academy’s Board of Governors – the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award, the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award and the Honorary Award.”

Debbie Allen is celebrating a big milestone with a star-studded array of friends!

Celebrities filled up her dance studio on Saturday night (November 15) in order to celebrate a major milestone ahead of the 2025 Governors Awards in Los Angeles.

The legendary choreographer, actor, director and producer is being honored with an Academy Honorary Award on Sunday (November 16), as part of the Academy board vote recognizing her impact on and film and TV across the decades.

“Debbie Allen is a trailblazing choreographer and actor, whose work has captivated generations and crossed genres, said Academy President Janet Yang when the announcement was first made.

Guests braved the rain to show their support, and several famous faces were spotted arriving and leaving the private celebration through the night, from longtime friends to A-list supporters.

The 43-year-old ballet dancer was honored at the event, and marked her return to the stage for the first time in five years, giving her final performance for the American Ballet Theatre after 25 years with the company.

The 22nd season of ABC’s long-running medical drama series Grey’s Anatomy will begin TONIGHT (October 9) and we’re charting all of the cast changes.

There was an explosion at the end of the season 21 finale and only two characters were initially confirmed to return in the upcoming season, but ABC just dropped promo photos for all of the season 22 cast members.

The new season of Grey’s was originally slated to debut on October 16, but ABC gave fans a present when they announced it would air sooner.

Grey’s Anatomy will be celebrating a major milestone this season!

Ahead of the season 22 premiere, series creator Shonda Rhimes reunited with many of the show’s current stars to celebrate the upcoming 450th episode.

On Thursday (October 2), ABC shared a bunch of photos of the cast, crew, and executives all gathered on set to celebrate the occasion with a giant “450″ cake set on top of a hospital bed in front of a sign of the Seattle skyline looking like a heart rate.
