Chris Paul is retiring from the NBA.

The 40-year-old basketball player announced the news in a statement on Instagram just moments after it was revealed that the Toronto Raptors were waiving him.

This was supposed to be Chris‘ final year in the NBA, but he will no longer be playing. His 21-year career includes two Olympic gold medals, 12 times as an All Star, and being a member of the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team.

After spending most of his career with the New Orleans Hornets and then the Los Angeles Clippers, Paul has also played for the Houston Rockets, the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Phoenix Suns, the Golden State Warriors, and the San Antonio Spurs.

“This is it! After over 21 years I’m stepping away from basketball,” Chris began his lengthy statement.

The 2025 NBA Draft is set to take place tonight, and it will be broadcast live on ABC.

The NBA draft takes place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, where basketball pro-hopefuls wait to hear their names called to find out where they’ll be playing.

This year, the first pick in the draft is going to the Dallas Mavericks, and it’s widely thought that Duke college standout Cooper Flagg will go first. By the way, Cooper is only 18 years old, and won’t turn 19 until December.

If you’re watching live, we have the draft order for the first two rounds, which will air on ABC tonight. The remaining rounds will air tomorrow night (June 26).

Pete Davidson sat courtside at the New York Knicks basketball game at Madison Square Garden on Sunday evening (April 6) in New York City.

The 31-year-old comedian and actor was joined by his girlfriend Elsie Hewitt as they watched the Knicks defeat the Phoenix Suns 112-98.

Pete showed his support for the home team by wearing a Knicks Fear of God hoodie. Unfortunately, the hoodie is currently sold out on the NBA store.

Other celebrities attending the game, according to the Knicks Instagram, included Penn Badgley, Suni Lee, Odell Beckham Jr, New York Mets’ Francisco Lindor, who sat next to Pete, New York Jets’ Tyrod Taylor, Diana Silvers, Cory Hardrict, Bobby Flay, rapper Chuck D, Tim Robinson and former basketball star Stephon Marbury.

The weekend before, Pete and Elsie were in Scotland, where they attended Dave Navarro‘s wedding. She shared photos of them in the country on her Instagram, including posing with a beautiful horse.

Pete and Elsie were first spotted together vacationing in Florida in March, and they went Instagram official the following week.

Disney+ is offering up plenty of great things to watch on Christmas Day!

The streamer just announced the full lineup of programming on December 25 for subscribers, including live programs, new Originals and holiday favorites.

The day will bring five live NBA games and an animated Dunk the Halls alt-cast, available to all Disney+ subscribers, marking the first time NBA games have been available to stream on service.

There will also be a Doctor Who Christmas Special, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Episode 5, and Episode 4 of the new season of Marvel Animation’s What If…?.

Disney+ will also stream the annual Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade, plus beloved holiday favorites like Home Alone and The Santa Clause.
