The 41-year-old skier had an awful accident while competing in the winter games, which resulted in a complex tibia fracture and more, as she is now sharing more details.

After multiple surgeries in Italy and weeks in the hospital there, she was transported back to the US, and is now out of the hospital, but is staying in a hotel before going home.

In a new video, Lindsey explained more to the extent of her injury, revealing she almost lost her leg completely.

Lindsey Vonn is sharing a new update from her hospital bed following her crash at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

The 41-year-old Olympian was unfortunately involved in a horrible accident on the ski slope while competing on Sunday (February 8). She ended up crashing and was airlifted to a hospital where she was “treated by a multidisciplinary team” and “underwent an orthopedic operation to stabilize a fracture reported in her left leg.”

The day after the crash, Lindsey returned to social media to reveal that she suffered complex tibia fracture in the crash.

After already undergoing three surgeries, Lindsey shared a new update on Friday (February 13), saying that she still has a “long, long way to go.”
