Tate McRae is breaking her silence after appearing in a new NBC ad for the 2026 Winter Olympics.

In the new commercial, the 22-year-old “Sports car” singer is skiing up in the snowy mountains where she asks some CGI owls for directions to the Olympics.

“I’m trying to get to Milan for an amazing opening ceremony and meet Team U.S.A.,” Tate says. “Then it’s the weekend with America’s best skating for gold, and Lindsey Vonn‘s epic comeback. Then come back to the States for the big game, Super Bowl LX.”

Many took issue with the ad and questioned why Tate would be supporting the United States and not Canada, which is her native country.

There was a big Grammys after party hosted by Charli XCX, W Magazine’s Editor-in Chief, Sara Moonves, and Saint Laurent Creative Director, Anthony Vaccarello, held after last night’s big awards show!

Guests gathered at Bar Marmont on Sunday night (February 1) in Los Angeles to toast to a great night.

Some of the celebs in attendance included Heated Rivalry stars Connor Storrie, Francois Arnaud, and Robbie GK, as well as music stars like Olivia Rodrigo, Justin Bieber, Rosé, Billie Eilish, Demi Lovato with her husband Jutes, Troye Sivan, Tate McRae, Sombr, and more.

The awards show is taking place on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The ceremony will be broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+.

Kendrick Lamar leads the nominees with nine, followed by Lady Gaga with seven nominations, setting a new record for her. Gaga ties for the second-most nominations with producers Jack Antonoff and Cirkut. However, there were some very surprising snubs this year.

Olivia Rodrigo and Tate McRae are working up a sweat!

The 22-year-old “good 4 u” singer and the 22-year-old “Sports Car” singer left the gym together after an intense workout on Thursday morning (January 22) in Los Angeles.

For their workout, Olivia wore a black sports bra and gray shorts while Tate sported a black tank top and black yoga pants.

After chatting outside of the gym, the two singers went their separate ways and continued on with their days.

For the past few weeks now, there have been unconfirmed rumors circulating online that Olivia and boyfriend Louis Patridge have split up, but as of right now, neither have addressed the speculation.

The 22-year-old “Sports Car” singer was seen in attendance at the New Jersey Devils hockey game on Sunday night (December 21) at Prudential Center in New Jersey.

This comes as she has been rumored over the past few weeks to be dating Devils player Jack Hughes, who returned to the ice that night following an injury.
