Kim Kardashian is diving into the beverage space!

The 45-year-old entertainer and businesswoman has hopped on board the relaunch of the caffeine free energy drink Update, and it’s coming out very soon.

Update originally launched in 2022, but Kim didn’t join the brand until 2023 after she was already drinking it and started sending “unsolicited advice,” before officially joining the team.

As revealed in a video shared to her Instagram, after Kim became part of the business, she helped remarket the packaging to make it less “masculine” and more “calm.” Plus, she also helped reformulate the taste of the drink.

Since the drink doesn’t have caffeine, where does the energy come from?

According to Forbes, the beverage “uses paraxanthine, the compound the human body naturally forms from caffeine, rather than caffeine itself, an approach the company says ‘eliminates the crash, jitters, and overstimulation’ of traditional energy drinks.”

The upcoming relaunch will see Update‘s five flavors (berry, grape, peach, mandarin and pineapple) in 4,000 Walmart stores nationwide, beginning THIS Sunday (March 1). More flavors are on the way too!

“2026 is really about expansion and evolution for us,” Kim shared in a statement with WWD. “This is only the beginning. We have new flavors coming that I’m so excited about — and flavors are not what you typically see in the energy space. We’re also constantly evolving — new ideas, new ways to experience Update. We’re building something modern and fun, but still really aligned with wellness and quality.”

“It immediately aligned with how I think about wellness and energy. I’m someone who moves at a really intense pace but still prioritizes focus, balance and what I put in my body,” she added. “The energy category can feel loud and Update offers something different — a more intentional approach designed for sustaining energy. It became part of my routine very naturally.”

Back in January, Kim was spotted on the set of her new Netflix movie The Fifth Wheel, where she was seen carrying a can of Update, with the old design, of course.

“We were told that it was totally cool to post. And then after it was posted, I think they realized it was Remembrance Day, and they didn’t want to be seen at a party, even though it’s already up, you know, and then taken down. And then I think they realized, like, ‘Oh, this was so silly,’” she said.

Remembrance Day in the UK is a solemn occasion when the nation reflects to honor the courage and sacrifice of those who gave their lives in military service.

“So we took them down to respect Remembrance Day,” Kim added.

“You got to laugh at, like, the situation sometimes and just, like, lighten it up and be if everyone’s taking it the wrong way, like, lean in. I was like, ‘We should do a full Skims campaign.’ Take the photo — even just us, like, I’ll shoot you at mom, you know, post it and then delete it, like, 30 minutes later. And then I say, ‘Oh, sorry, I didn’t have permission to post those photos for the campaign.’ ”

“If we just made it light and made it funny, you know, I think it would have been, like, received differently, but I hated how that was received for everyone,” Kim said. “That sucks. It was just made into something that was so crazy and ridiculous that just didn’t have to be.”

The 45-year-old reality star and All’s Fair actress met up with director Eva Longoria for dinner at Wally’s restaurant on Wednesday night (January 14) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Also joining Kim at dinner were her co-stars Nikki Glaser, Brenda Song, and Fortune Feimster.

In the upcoming Netflix comedy, Brenda, Nikki, and Fortune will play a group of high school friends attempting to reconnect during a weekend in Los Vegas. Kim is playing a “hot outsider” who crashes the weekend and forces the group to “to face their messy lives and unraveling friendships.”

Designer Alex Moss revealed that while it was a gift from Kim, he did work with North on the necklace and its pendant.

He told People about crafting a “spike necklace chain” with a “cartoon skull pendant” with her name engraved on it. Alex shared a video of the necklace on his Instagram here.

The outlet shares that North was also gifted a spike bracelet crafted from Tuscan Italian leather and set with natural VVS white diamonds.

According to Alex, the pieces build on ideas he’s explored before. The necklace revisits a concept he originally created for Playboi Carti in 2018, while the bracelet blends elements from one North already had with a custom design he developed for Ken Carson in 2022.

North has been sharing TikTok videos showing her wearing the one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces on the @kimandnorth account she shares with her mom.
