Host Alan Cumming addressed the crowd after several loud outbursts were overheard in the theater throughout the show, coming from John Davidson, a Tourette’s syndrome campaigner who inspired the BAFTA-winning movie, I Swear.

The 2026 BAFTA Film Awards are happening now!
The 79th British Academy Film Awards take place Sunday (February 22), celebrating the best national and foreign films of 2025, at the Royal Festival Hall in Southbank Centre in London, England.
The awards ceremony honors the best feature-length films and documentaries of any nationality that were screened at British cinemas in 2025, and are being hosted by Alan Cumming for the first time.
E! will air the ceremony for the first time as a pre-recorded special, starting at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

So, who did Alan Cumming choose to represent the Traitors this season?
Well, if you haven’t watched yet but want the info, we have it here. One interesting tidbit from the first episode: Alan actually chose three Traitors, but at the beginning of the episode, a fourth Traitor was chosen at random before even entering the castle – aka, the “first Traitor to be picked in plain sight.”

Alan Cumming is making a very rare public appearance with his husband!
The 60-year-old host of The Traitors had the support of his husband Grant Shaffer as he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday morning (January 8) in Los Angeles.
Also stepping out to support Alan was his longtime friend Monica Lewinsky, his Glenrothan co-star and director Brian Cox, influencer Dylan Mulvaney, and his Cabaret co-star Mary McCormack.

Alan Cumming is returning as host for the new season, where 23 celebs and reality stars will be fighting for the $250,000 prize.
The Emmy award-winning series, The Traitors is a nail-biting psychological adventure in which treachery and deceit are the name of the game. The entertainment industry’s most competitive reality stars and famous faces play the ultimate murder mystery game. Hosted by award-winning actor Alan Cumming at an ancient castle set deep in the Scottish Highlands, contestants work together on a series of exhilarating missions to build a prize fund worth up to $250,000. Hidden amongst the Faithful are the Traitors, whose goal is to eliminate the Faithful and claim the prize for themselves. Under the cover of darkness, the Traitors murder the Faithful one by one in a treacherous spree, while the Faithful try to uncover the Traitors and banish them from the game. If the Faithful contestants banish all the Traitors, they will share the prize fund, but if a Traitor or Traitors makes it to the end, they will steal all the money.
It debuts on Peacock on Thursday, January 8.
