The 2026 Film Independent Spirit Awards took place on Sunday afternoon (February 15) in Los Angeles.

The annual awards show, which celebrates the best in independent filmmaking, with budgets less than $30 million, and several television categories as well.

This year’s awards ceremony took place at the Hollywood Palladium, and saw tons of celebrities in attendance.

Netflix led the nominations with 18 total, and Adolescence swept the TV categories, plus A24 came in second with 10 nominations total!

The 2026 Independent Spirit Awards are happening now!

The awards show celebrates films budgeted at less than $30 million to produce and must be considered “independent,” as well as television categories.

The show is taking place live the Hollywood Palladium on Sunday (February 15) in Los Angeles.

This year, Netflix has by far the most nominations with 18 total. A24 is next, with 10 nominations total. There are familiar names on the list as well, with actors from The Pitt, Alien: Earth, and more being recognized.

Amanda Seyfried is in New York City for Fashion Week!

The 40-year-old Emmy-winning actress sat front row with Tessa Thompson and Pamela Anderson at the Tory Burch Fall/Winter 2026 Show on Wednesday night (February 11) held at Soethby’s in New York City.

Fellow stars in attendance included Grace Gummer, Industry actress Myha’la, SNL‘s Marcello Hernandez and girlfriend Ana Amelia Batlle Cabral, influencer Olivia Jade, Olympic gymnast Sunisa Lee, Overcompensating actress Mary Beth Barone, model Paloma Elsesser, Summer House star Ciara Miller, and Grammy-winning singer Ella Mai.

Emily Ratajkowski was one of the models that walked in the show, wearing a navy dress.

In a recent interview, Amanda explained why winning an Oscar isn’t important for her.

Many actors, filmmakers, and entertainers were present at the fundraiser, titled “Celebrating Sundance Institute: A Tribute To Founder Robert Redford” held at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley amid the 2026 Sundance Film Festival on Friday (January 23) in Park City, Utah.

Adrien Brody and Tessa Thompson are making their Broadway debuts later this year in the play The Fear of 13 and they’re starring in a movie-style trailer to promote the show!

The play tells the true story of the first person sentenced to death in Pennsylvania to be exonerated by DNA evidence.

“They just needed someone to blame. I lived in silence for more than two years. Now even the truth sounds like a lie. I’ve never been in love before, but I know what this is… I forgive you. For killing me,” Adrien‘s character says in the voiceover in the trailer.

The Fear of 13 follows the story of Nick Yarris, who spends more than two decades on death row for a murder he insists he did not commit. Through a series of prison visits with a volunteer named Jackie, Nick traces a life shaped by impulse and consequence. As Nick and Jackie’s conversations deepen, the line between witness and participant blurs, forcing both to confront what justice demands, what belief requires, and the perilous distance between true freedom and the illusion of self determination.

Adrien and Tessa will begin preview performances on Thursday, March 19 with an official opening night set for Wednesday, April 15 at the James Earl Jones Theatre in New York City. Tickets are on sale now!
