Devon Walker, who exited Saturday Night Live last month after three seasons on the show, is speaking further after calling the late night sketch comedy series “toxic.”
Specifically, when he announced his exit, which was mutual, he declared that “sometimes it was toxic as hell” on the show.
In a new interview with Variety, he elaborated further, giving an example of something he witnessed that could be changed.

One longtime member of the writing staff, who has appeared in sketches over the years, is now part of the cast for the first time alongside four newcomers.

Devon Walker has announced he’s leaving Saturday Night Live.
On Monday (August 25), the 34-year-old actor and comedian revealed that he is exiting the NBC late-night sketch comedy series after appearing on three seasons.
“Me and baby broke up ❤️” Devon wrote on Instagram along with some behind-the-scenes photos.

We’re currently in the middle of Saturday Night Live‘s landmark 50th season and there were some changes to the cast this year.
11 of your favorite full-time cast members returned and three of the featured players from last season were promoted to main cast members.
Two full-time stars left the show and aren’t on the current season and one of last year’s featured players revealed she was not asked back. There are also three new featured players joining the cast for season 50.
