In a recent interview with John Mayer for SiriusXM on Friday (January 23), Harry explained why he decided to take a break from music and shared what he’s been up to these past few years out of the spotlight.

“I think the last two years for me, the most important thing was about being on the other side of the audience experience,” Harry said. “Spending so much time on stage, it’s really easy to forget what it feels like to be in the middle of a crowd and dancing and singing with strangers.”

“Weirdly, I had met Finn Wolfhard a few weeks before, randomly, and we chatted for a bit,” Daniel told Rolling Stone. “And then he texted me the day before it aired, being like, ‘Hey, just so you know, we’re doing a Harry Potter sketch.’ I haven’t seen Heated Rivalry, although I am very aware — my girlfriend is a huge fan. Pete Davidson is back on Saturday Night Live!

The 32-year-old comedian, who left the show in 2022, made a surprise return to NBC’s late night sketch comedy show on Saturday (January 31) to play border czar Tom Homan in the cold open.

The cold open took place in Minnesota, spoofing what Homan possibly could have told ICE agents who have been stationed there.

The 33-year-old rapper was spotted heading into NBC Studios on Saturday afternoon (January 31) in New York City.

Cardi wore a maroon leather suit that bared some cleavage.

This will be Cardi‘s second time as the musical guest on SNL. She made her debut on the late night show in April 2018 during an episode hosted by the late Chadwick Boseman. The host this time is Alexander Skarsgard. Make sure to watch their funny promo!

Bowen spoke with Matt about his final skit on the show, which incorporated his Wicked costar Ariana Grande and Cher.

The skit gave him the opportunity to say goodbye in his way. However, he said that it also made him extremely emotional during a table read.

“I was sobbing at the read through in front of everyone… it’s like a metatextual thing,” he admitted, via The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s my last shift at the Delta lounge, but in the sketch I say, ‘I’ve loved everyone here. I’ve loved every single person who works here’ — I immediately broke down because…”

While Matt joked that Bowen “knew” the sentiment was a lie, he replied by saying he was “telling the truth.”

“I just looked out, and I thought, I’m so lucky that I ever got to work here, and I’m so lucky that I get to make this little statement that’s barely veiled, where I’m like, I love you all,” he gushed.

As for his departure, Bowen said that he appreciated having the opportunity to decide when his time was up.

“The current entertainment ecosystem is so turbulent that people have completely valid reasons for staying longer, or in a lot of cases, don’t have the privilege of staying on as long as they would like to,” he opined.

While he admitted to having some reservations “about going back in the summer,” the comedian added that he was ultimately “so glad [he] did.”

He also recalled something fellow SNL alum Amy Poehler told him when she hosted one of the first episodes of the show’s current season: “We’re all waiting for you on the other side.”

Matt also shed some light on Bowen‘s decision to leave.

Matt, 35, seemed to imply that Bowen decided to exit in part because he had already achieved so much during his more than seven-year run.

“I know a lot of people are surprised because they feel like he’s such a fixture, but seven and a half years on the show, five Emmy nominations, countless memorable characters and sketches,” he reflected to host Jenna Bush Hager.

Matt continued, adding, “And he was there for the 50th [anniversary of SNL]. And I think then there was the opportunity for an episode with Ariana and Cher. What was he supposed to do, stay after that?”

The podcaster, who also shared the screen with Bowen in 2022′s Fire Island, added that it was “hard to say goodbye.” However, he opined “Sometimes you do have to leave the party just a little bit early,” explaining, “You don’t want to be the last one.”

He recalled watching Bowen‘s final moments on the show, saying that he felt emotional and was proud that the comedian became “the face of that show” even though the odds were against him.

Back in December, Bowen opened up about leaving SNL in a heartfelt post on Instagram, where he wrote, “I loved working at SNL, and most of all I loved the people.”

“I was there at a time when many things in the world started to seem futile, but working at 30 rock taught me the value in showing up anyway when people make it worthwhile,” he continued.

He thanked many for helping him and being there along his journey, specifically calling out “every cast member for making me laugh and cry” and SNL‘s creator and producer Lorne Michaels.
